Infared camera?

I have a Sony Handycam (most recent to one) who has Super NightShot Plus. Can anyone tell me how I can turn it into an infrared camera? I really do not want to take it apart unless I really know what im doing. I saw some Websight of that show you how to do this with other devices, but not the Sony Handycam. Thank you for the help

my mother has a sony cam with vision Night on it. on hers theres a switch just left of the lens just above the screen. when this switch is on everything happening in the dark updated at the camera. yours might be slightly different. and there should be a button that looks like NightShot. or you may have to seek it in the menu. Enjoy with for a while you'll find.
