Sigma Camera Lenses Review

Tamron 18-200mm VS Nikon 18-200mm VR?
I am a little tired of investing in a Tamron 18-200mm. I do not want to blow $ 250 on a lens of low quality, I'm sure your not, but reading reviews I get more and more paranoid about buying it. I sure would buy the Nikon lens in the blink of an eye, if not be the fact that their 600 + dollars for the VR lens! Can I buy a camera body brand new with that amount of money, and the only time I'll spend as much money in a lens if it is a fisheye. What are your views on the Tamron? My friend who has his own photography business and studio, owner of a Nikon D200 and a Sigma 18-200mm. She said she has very seriously, not a difference and the Sigmas and Tamrons are so good.
Hi takeasta, Tamron lenses makes some excellent but its 18-200mm is not one of them. His 18-250mm image quality is much better, though, of course, is also more expensive at about $ 450. If you want to keep low cost in a super zoom with good image quality, I suggest looking at the Sigma 18-125mm at about $ 300. To keep the cost down a little more, without sacrificing image quality, I look a Tamron 24-135mm or Sigma 24-135mm. This should keep the cost equal to or less than the price of the Tamron 18-200, image quality much better. Note, the Sigma is 2 / 3 stop more faster than the Tamron but soft open, otherwise fine. If you're willing to look for used lenses, be sure to look for Sigma 18-125mm used. Two of with Nikon mounts eBay recently sold for $ 62 and $ 100, both in excellent condition. If you do not trust eBay, KEH is very reliable for the equipment used: http://www.keh.com/OnLineStore/ProductList.aspx?Mode=searchproducts&item=0&ActivateTOC2 = false & ID = & size = & BC & BCC = DN = 3 & 9 & CC = CCC = 2 & BCL = & GBC = & GCC = & KW = The friend probably have studio lighting in Nice in his studio photography, so that it can stop your lenses for their ideals openings, where even a mediocre lens can produce an adequate image quality. Assuming you is not always thinking about shooting under similar conditions of optimal light, you often have to shoot open, where the Tamron 18-200mm will be disappointing. BTW, on another answer that was given, the lack of resources secret to be revealed in the future usually does not mean the lens becomes unusable. It just means that the new feature is not available with the lens of age. I have third party lenses made nearly 40 years ago to run perfectly on my modern DSLR, though, course, not with modern features such as autofocus and matrix metering. Good luck and have fun! Greg
