Canon Vixia HV30 Camcorder FireWire Cable How and where do you plug?
I have a new (refurbished) Canon Vixia HV30 Camcorder Canon. I have a MacBook Pro that has a FireWire port – I used to use with my Canon ZR300 with a FireWire cable. This cable does not work with my new camcorder. Any suggestions on what cable to buy? And where? Also – where on the end connect the camcorder to the camcorder? Towards the zone in the slit composite AV? Thank you so much!
The DV port on the HV30 is a 4-pin. The FireWire 800 port on the MacBook Pro is a 9.pin. You need a 4-pin to 9-pin FireWire cable. The port has not changed DV camcorders on for many years.
