Professional Camcorders Under 2000
Who Prosumer Camcorder for it?
I save money for a decent prosumer / professional camcorders. I understand than those of high quality are all well over $ 5,000. But I have been looking at the Mini DV Canon GL2 and the Panasonic AG-DVC20 and want to know what best. I intend to make independent films and submit them in film festivals. Any other camcorder under $ 2000 that you would recommend great too! Thank you in advance!
For under 2k you have many other options that are much better than the two you mention. For your range price, I would seriously consider purchasing a Panasonic DVX100 or Canon XL2. These are two of the best DV cameras out there. As some Sites to believe that these cameras are out of your price range, there are plenty of legitimate places to find them used in great condition for low utilization. You can probably even find a new DVX for your money. I think even if you buy one used, it will be much happier with it than, say, a GL2. These cameras have been placed on the market for ages and are not worth the price of retail they're sold for. If you need help to find a good deal, you can email me at SK3055@yahoo.com.
