Digital Camera Question?

For the past two months I've been looking into a more high-tech camera, instead of keeping my small Kodak size. I am looking to buy one of the largest, black cameras with interchangeable lenses (idk what theyre called) instead of a thin. I was looking at the Sony DSC-H7, but the reviews made me rethink that. Now, I was looking through Nikon. My question is: Can anyone recommend a camera that does not take great photos, is very high, and can have multiple tables within a second. I've been looking through so many cameras these past few days, I want a recommendation on camera. Now, I'm young and not having a job. Thus, the price is a factor, but a little. Can I save money, but I prefer that the price is low. But is a big deal.

What you're looking for is called a lens digital SLR (single reflex). By the way the Sony you mentioned above is not one. I looked at the models of entry-level Canon and Nikon. Both companies make awesome cameras and lenses. You can not go wrong with any of them. Some models to look at it. Canon XTi XSi or Nikon D40 or D60 These cameras will all cost between $ 500 and U.S. $ 1,000 with a lens. SLR cameras work different than point and shoot cameras that I do not recommend you take a class. The models listed all have auto settings but if you learn to adjust your aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance manually, you will be happier. Some differences between the point and shoot cameras would be. 1. You can change lenses. There are lenses made for every situation you can think of. From wide angle to super telephoto. 2. The ability to control everything manually. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance and focus. 3. Much better image quality. This comes from better optical sensor and a much larger picture. The image sensor is approximately 15 times that of a point and shoot camera. 4. Most do not have live view through the LCD. Some do, but it is best to learn to compose through the viewfinder.
