Mini Dv Camcorders Obsolete

im trying to get a new camcorder, its going to be a mini DV or DVD but I expect please help me decide

I'll let you all know I am getting it to make and edit videos (to youtube and perhaps other sites) and i need to know whats best for that or simply a better form of mini camcorder or DV camcorder to a DVD camcorder, I think, because dvd tape becomes obsolete but all I really want is the type that is best for the kind of thing I'll do with it, please tell me what kind of camcorder that you I should get and please give a reason, and also please remember, that suggests either DVD or Mini DV Camcorder, thank you
