How do I download a video from a Sony camcorder to my computer?
The Sony Handycam camcorder is a digital I bought it about 4 years ago (she also takes pictures). I have the USB cable that came with it and when I tried an upload on my computer I think it only ran the Memory Stick and copy the pictures and only 8 seconds of video. Obviously, I want the whole video copy my computer. it does not seem to detect the band and the Memory Stick. I have software that allows u to stream videos camcorder to the computer UR. when I plugged in the USB cable, it says that I must install Macromedia Flash to play the video. I do not have the latest version of flash. Is there another way i can download the video on my computer? Should I buy more accessories? Please respond ASAP. thank you!
Odds are, you'll need a FireWire (IEEE 1394). If the Sony Handycam is one of Handycams using MiniDV tapes, you will probably need FireWire. If your computer does not have a FireWire port, you'll need for your FireWire installed (not sure how much it will cost). In addition, most camcorders do not come even with a FireWire cable when they need it so you'll buy one – probably about $ 20 … may be less or more.
