What is the difference between flash, hard drive, high definition, Hi8, mini DV camcorders? What's good?
Looking to buy a camcorder Can I use my macbook when I'm in Korea. What is the difference between them and are they compatible with Mac?
high definition is to do with the amount of detail that the camera fixes. This may be on different formats. If your Mac runs Apple's operating system Leopard, then you should be compatible with just about everything, certainly iMovie8 should work with AVCHD (HDD Format HD), but if you want the best quality you need to watch a tape based format, such as HDV (if you want hidef) miniDV or if you want standard definition.
