Each manufacturer has directed HDV their products to different target markets. Weigh the features that you feel you benefit the most, and then see what camera meets these criteria.

A notable exception is B & H Video in Manhattan. They are authorized dealers for several manufacturers and they offer fair prices and good service. Similarly, Edgewise Media, based in California to offer both competitive prices and exceptional customer service. These companies take care of you. Of course, they are not alone.
