I got my digital SLR camera, now what?
About a year ago I bought a Nikon D40, and I really enjoyed taking pictures with it works, the family, nature etc. etc. Now I find myself wanting to delve deeper into the world of digital photography and hone some mad skills. Suggestions? I have I bought some books, I have not finished (Nikon D40 for Dummies Digital Photography and the Missing Manual (which is a bit rubbish) Advice for Photographers on where to go from here? THANK YOU!
First, learn to control the settings of your camera's manual (it seems you've already started it). Then, the work of composition and lighting. Practice using only the light of day, the interior light, etc. Go to the places you love most and just start taking photos. Take as many as you can. Shoot at different levels, angles, etc.
