Digital Cameras with Video Capabilities
How many people on the U.S. digital camera (or buy them in 2006)?
I'm trying to figure out roughly how many people on the U.S. digital cameras, especially cameras with video capability. Nikon / Canon's annual reports do not seem to get the sales that were made only to customers the U.S. (They pool sales figures for all countries together), so I'm wondering if other sources can have this information. Thank you!
From a interesting article: Independent, 2006 will be another year of growth for sales of digital cameras, although analysts disagree on the rate. According to the NPD Group, sales of camera (including digital SLRs) will reach 29.5 million units in 2006 against the 25.2 million sold in 2005. The Photo Marketing Association (PMA) is less optimistic, planned sales of digital cameras and SLR to reach 20.7 million its estimate of 20.5 million sold in 2005. Finally, IDC camera that comes shipments to dealers, expects the market to reach 31 million units.
