Digital Cameras Vs Slr Cameras

PowerShot SD700 IS vs SD800 IS?
I'm ready to buy a new digital camera. This will be my third in 4 years. My current one (a FujiFilm) is great, but is around the size of an SLR camera. A woman wants a more compact, so I decided on one of Powershots Canon. I gave as gifts to three long the years and the photos always look great. I can not decide on the SD800 vs SD700. The 800 is more expensive, $ 100 or less, but the cameras are otherwise very similar. The 800 has better resolution 7-megapixel versus 6 for the 700, but I can not convince me that the 7 will import more than 6. work of someone with these cameras or are very familiar with the line of Canon? I would like some advice on why to choose the most recent 800 (highest) today on the 700 (less expensive). As you can tell, I like to upgrade cameras routinely enough to rise in a year and a half the other camera is fine reviews. CNET to show that the 700 actually has a higher score than User.
You are correct on the Mega Pixel. There is almost no different between 6 and 7 MP. The differences between these a 2 are smaller and the price is only $ 50 more Internet retailer. Three differences I want to highlight is the range of the zoom lens and ISO setting. The 700 can zoom out a little more (140mm against 105mm) but that is not as wide as the 800 (28mm vs 35mm). Then ask yourself if you want a wider angle or reduce a little more. The 800 will allow you to set the ISO to 1600. But I think you will hardly get any picture in 1600 provided that the image is so noisy the image is not a goalkeeper. The 800 will also allow you to take photos in 3:2 format. This is the ratio that was used by 35 mm camera film and print size is more standard 3:2 format as well. This means that you shoot is what you get to print without any cuts. Hope this help.
