Digital Cameras Tesco

I am a complete idiot when it comes to digital images. I have a picture that would have done in a canvas print. The photo was taken on a camera of 4 megapixels. I went to the site of Tesco, which allows me to make a canvas print in a 40cm X 40 cm size, but I would like was greater. But when I try and make it to a size 60 X 60 centimeters that tells me that the image resolution is small. What I need to know is, is there any way to solve this problem by making adjustments to the picture or anything else. I really appreciate any help or advice.
the image will not be very large, because you got a camera of 4 megapixels. your best bet is to see if your friends have an 8 or 10 mega pixel camera you can borrow. the more mega pixels the higher than you can blow the image x
