I was expexting to view full size described as 2x, 3x etc, but I saw an ad that said: "Magnification: (65 to 600 millimeters), I do not know what that means. The 2x, 3x 10x names are just marketing shorthand to advertise sound more understandable. In fact, these do not mean much unless all lenses that are being compared are approximately the same scale. The real measure of a lens is the focal length. These are the "mm" numbers that you mention. Today, those numbers are adjusted for 35 millimeters "equivalent" to adjust for differences camera.
