Digital Cameras Telephoto

The camera lens Telephoto (65 to 600 millimeters)?
I am interested in learning some basics about the camera's telephoto lens. I was expexting to view full size described as 2x, 3x etc, but I saw an ad that said: "Magnification: (65 to 600 millimeters), I do not know what that means. I'm thinking of buying a digital camera that also makes movies, and a lens to photograph wildlife. I like to do extreme close-ups 50-100 meters away. After searching, I would like to take a chance on ebay and get the maximum zoom for the buck. Beginner Tips General 'appreciated. Thanks Averyon. Fredshelp, this was very well stated, "The 2x, 3x 10x names are really just the result of dividing the gross number by Wide Angle Telephoto number. "Now I see, I start searching when school lets out, but the great places here will be a good start.
The 2x, 3x 10x names are just marketing shorthand to advertise sound more understandable. In fact, these do not mean much unless all lenses that are being compared are approximately the same scale. The real measure of a lens is the focal length. These are the "mm" numbers that you mention. Today, those numbers are adjusted for 35 millimeters "equivalent" to adjust for differences camera. (sensor size makes a difference) 50 mm, it is generally accepted to be like the human eye. Less than 40 mm Wide Angle and the income from a smaller image, but bigger. Exceeding 75 mm telephoto lens and income is a larger picture, but narrower. The higher the number, the largest increase (over) the image names. The 2x, 3x 10x are really just the result of dividing the gross number by the number Telephoto Wide Angle. Typical zoom 3x is about 35 to 105 mm. But one millimeters 100-300 is also 3x zoom, and that is a very different lens. The example you gave 65-600 mm, is about 10x. But this has wide, only high long telephoto and neutral. Hard Facts:. All telephoto lenses lose a little light. The stronger the telephoto, the more light you lose. The more low quality of the lens, more light, he loses. If you have a super-strength, lower-quality telephoto, you lose so much light that the image is too weak to be useful. Excellent quality long telephoto (like those used by the media) cost $ $ thousands. Be sure to check the lens through Ebay. Buy only brands such those you can find in photo shops. Lenses are also evaluated by the amount of light that pass, using the names f-stop. If you see a large number of F-stop (like the F16), which means very low light. Not rated probably means low quality and low light. Also remember that high telephoto means that the camera movement is also magnified. You must use a tripod or a lens with image stabilization (…), more money or both. To keep low costs of departure, you may consider one of the ultra "zoom" digicams. They provide about 35 to 430 mm (12x) built, and you can add an adapter external to increase it to over 700 mm. These are more accessible because the small size sensor multiplies physical evaluation of the lens. And they have built in Image Stabilization. I use a Sony H1 with a Tele SanDisk. (They also have adapters Wide Angle). Newer models are H9/H7 Sony, Canon S3IS, Panasonic FZ8/FZ50, Fugi S9500. They cost $ 350 to $ 600, plus $ 100 to $ 150 for an adapter. Good Luck
