Digital Cameras Reviews Slr

Im thinking of buying a Nikon D60 digital SLR camera … anyone have one?
Im interested to hear what others think of this camera … it performs as good as they say? Any comments would be welcome (the personal experiences and not just for straight-line journal).
One thing I really like about the D60 is the new lens. Unlike the 18-55 IS that is found in entry-level DSLR from Canon, the lens is a very solid design and runs very well within its limited scope. The vibration reduction is a huge jump up from the previous basic models. I found the camera incredibly simple to operate, and if you are not familiar with handheld photography, the D60 has the manual controls in a way that immediately gives a clear concept of how you can affect your photo. This is also the first entry-level Nikon to include the now common system for removing dust that has the vibration sensor at high speed to remove any dust. The camera has a more solid feel than the D40 and it seems to be a little smaller too. It is a nice step up from its predecessor, the D40, and in my opinion is well worth the price. Until the D60 came out, I was a big fan of the Canon Rebel that I was the entry level Nikon SLR, but no more.
