The electronics are very expensive in the Philippines (due to taxes). My mother bought me an original Sony DSC-H9 camera in Singapore for 27k and it includes a photo printer (worth 10k in the Philippines) and card 4 gig of memory, while the same model in the Philippines sells 32k, camera with only 2 gig of memory. If you bought a Sony camera only (no extras) in Singapore, it only costs about 17k. You can also go to Singapore, stay for 3 days and get your money's worth.
