There is a good Secure Digital Card FAQ site? Does it matter what speed reading is for digital cameras?
I bought a new digital camera. I Sony has changed the Canon. Anyway, the Canon uses Secure Digital Cards to store photos instead of memory sticks I'm used to the Sony. There are so many different types SD cards out there, and they all have several read / write speeds. I understand that it is usually quicker the better, but I'm wondering how much is important and it makes sense for me to buy the fastest card to my camera (the A620 model by the way) can not even read / write is that fast. I think I just need a little advice. Thank you!

Worked very well for what I needed to, point and shoot. It would be a bit of lag when taking continuous shots, but it was good for the video. I do not worry too much about the speed, the less you're thinking of taking continuous shots.
