Rising Star Academy, located in Dallas, Texas, is a new pre-school special where young children receive an education in early childhood care they provide the foundation to grow both intellectually and socially. Director Dawn Schroeder has a degree in Education Studies and is pursuing a graduate degree in Special Education. She also speaks at local conferences to educate teachers and families. Rising Star Academy serves children 6wk to 12 years in a new and incredibly easy built in 1.2 acres of land in Katy, TX. Its mission is to develop curiosity, creativity to guide and facilitate the learning process. Each student will develop a deeper understanding of the world around him and how he works through a curriculum designed to address children '. In the Rising Star Academy, some teachers are highly skilled and low teacher student ratios, ensuring that the needs of each child are met in each classroom.
Following the curriculum Learning HighReach developed by child development experts, with real-life experiences and backgrounds in child care settings, Rising Star Academy believes that children learn best through active cooperation with people and things in their environment. In each age group, teachers encourage relationship-based learning project focused research, and involving families and the community.

Learning does not just happen in classrooms, either. Rising Star Academy is a gym and indoor playroom and a playground outdoors, inviting students to participate in active play and learning. Each area was designed and equipped to challenge and entertain the students safely.
Rising Star Academy also has a brand new Media Center, complete with (6) computer terminals and developmentally-appropriate learning software, such as Leapfrog, FreddiFish, Clifford and very more. Media Center, students strengthen academic skills and readiness to build a vocabulary technology as they develop those essential skills development needed to succeed in the technology world of tomorrow. Not just on "Playing Games", students use the Media Center for a variety of functions, such as creating digital stories that are illustrated by paint programs or pictures taken with digital cameras. They also refine their skills listening and comprehension with the use of audio books.
Another perk to go to Rising Star Academy – the school's new! Each class is given time during throughout the week to visit the library. Time's focus in promoting an appreciation of books and the written word in the students. They can browse the shelves, listening a story, or discover books independently, while mastering skills such as taking care of library books, awareness of print and fiction vs. fiction … and more! The books are arranged by subject in containers to search for a favorite book easier for small hands.
Habbosgtimes neighbors Cimarron Kisder's Elementary School and became one of its partners in education. They understand the importance of strong relationship with schools in their neighborhood and as the district in which the students under their care may be present. When they had the opportunity to collaborate with the program Kisder PreK, they were honored to help them in their classrooms PreK own. This opportunity only reinforces the current program and provides services to both significant and Rising Star Kisder. The collaboration will begin the 2009-2010 school year, with a teacher and paraprofessional Kisder and a Rising Star Academy Lead and Assistant Professor.
Rising Star has also partnered with organizations Community and outreach events and providing support. They are members of the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, a Moxie Moms Partner, and attended the Harvest Festival Rice, The Katy Heritage Festival, and the LaCenterra Big Backyard Barbeque. They raised money for ArtReach Katy entire community with a Talent Show which was Kady Malloy, and recently partnered with the Pregnancy Center of Katy to provide parenting classes and raise money for the center operations. They continue to seek new ways to the community with a strong conviction that a healthy community promotes healthy families and healthy families of healthy children, happy.
