I just bought a Nikon D60 digital SLR camera. what is a good lens for it?

I bought the camera does not come with the lens, just the body. I looking for a macro lens definitely, because I want to take close-ups … and just another very good lens to use the rest of the time …. I can not say what good and which are not what the numbers and 'mm' mean! please help! any other suggestions on other types of lenses?
