Digital Cameras At Sears

digital camera!?
I am looking to buy a digital camera, but I'm not really sure that the best place to start is one, some places such as Best Buy, Sears, perhaps? and also told me to buy a camera that has more than 6 megapixels and buy a brand, any idea?
Search a camera with a 1) at least 5 megapixels (MP), This is very good for most users. 2) 4x optical zoom is good, do not worry too much about zoom digital. 3) Better get a regular (or rechargeable) AA batteries. Lithium batteries are good, but not easy to find if you're on vacation and the batteries need a convienence store or you can check quickly. 4) I see that many digital cameras are doing away with the optical viewfinder (the old fashioned way of looking through the viewfinder to take a picture), and strickly with only the LCD screen to compose a shot to take. I personally still like the optical viewfinder to really focus on a particular subject, or use on a sunny day where it really hard to see your subject (s) on the screen, or just to save the battery in the camera. These are just some things to consider for your first camera. Here is what I have … I love my Canon PowerShot A620. It is a 7.1 MP camera that takes awesome still shots and video as well as awesome. Great for home and everyday use. Easy to take on holiday and you can take some really artistic / creative photos too. A great all-around camera. My 35mm Canon cameras are also, and I still love and use it. . I had a Sony, and I gave my daughter and bought a Canon PowerShot A610 for my son teenager. The Canon A610 is just like my A620, but it is a digital camera of 5 MP. Both take great pictures, but my favorite thing about the camera, is the vari-angle LCD screen. You can still connect it to your TV and view pictures and video on any screen size you have. It's pretty neat in the big screens! (The necessary cables come with it). It is very easy to use, and a camera you can grow with. http://www.usa.canon.com Go to 'products' to 'consumer products' to lead you to the cameras. Our A610/A620 has a definition called "Children and Animals." Usually you use these on the issues that often have difficulty keeping still. But I also use this setting when taking pictures of my football team during the game. I also take pictures of my children, nephews and nieces jumping in the air, a cheerleader jump it, with excellent results. Latency is very, very, very minimal. (eg delay of pressing the camera button to capture the actual shot). This is just one of many settings the camera has to offer and you can also manually configure and program your own settings. For ease of point and shoot, just choose the location where you're taking pictures of (ie, indoor, outdoor, night, portrait, fireworks, snow, beach, and 'auto' [Automatic]), and it will adjust according to the proper exposure / settings. And she still has an "underwater mode to use, but that's if you buy the special housing for the camera. (I do not have housing. I'll wait to save up or find it for very cheap). If you get more experience or experience, you can manually choose exposure settings and such as 35 mm of age. I'm a bargain hunter. I bought two NEW Canon this spring 2006 line. My son was at $ 200 and mine was $ 204. Just Google (or Froogle) or Yahoo! Search any model of Canon, and then see which merchant has the best price with these websites low price and order online. The price is muuuuito better than going physically stores. If you need it immediately, simply update the transport. It's still cheaper than buying in stores. No matter what model of camera you are looking for the best prices are online. I do not know if you find this model (A610) in stores. They have newer models, the A630 (8mp) and A640 (10MP) they have more mega-pixels and ISO settings. But 5MP, more than enough for most users. What I did was physically touch and feel the camera in the store, then go online for purchase. But if you prefer to shop in stores, some good places are Best Buy, Wal Mart and Target. Surprisingly, they have good selection at Wal-Mart and Target. Here is the link if you would like to check the specs on these models and other Canon cameras: http://www.usa.canon.com and go to the 'product' for 'consumer products "to take him to the cameras. Tell him that the camera has and what looks closely. While you're searching online, you also find many reviews on these cameras. All with many positive things to say about the camer and you can also find information on these cameras Yahoo!
