Digital Cameras Around 100

I need a new digital camera for around <£ 100, but there are so many options and I'm sure what to get?

OK so I see many that have the same exact look me really. megapixels good is necessary however, not enormous.The-I've heard this'smart 'zoom, where you have to say a 10mp, but you do 5 and improve the quality of digital zoom (unsure of the details you can probably tell xD.) is a feature normal cameras today or not this feature only appear expensivemodels more.-A good optical zoom would be nice if this "smart" zoom is not possible. So I'm basically following suggestions of a new digital camera, and no more than 100 pounds, preferably less. Thanks for reading, and any help will be appreciated.

People often ask, "What is a good camera to buy?" Here's my 10 cents on the subject: Point & Shoot cameras are wonderfully accessible due to its small size. When light conditions are ideal, that to take really nice pictures – all they do. However, they all have limitations – they do not do very well in low light (ie, photos noisy, difficult to avoid blur, etc.). The built-in flash is very little hard to close, and not get very far. Many of them have manual features, then you are limited to only very basic photos, you can not compensate for unusual situations, or play many "tricks" and special effects. P & S, also suffer from frustrating shutterlag and many of them chew through batteries rather quickly. However, if you're okay with all these limitations, then go ahead and pick one, most them (the same type and same price range) are very similar. Personally I would either get a Canon or a Nikon, and certainly stay away from Kodak. The higher end P & S will give you more manual options and better quality. Many of those that give you the option to add a good flash (which makes a big difference to your photos from flash). Do not worry too much about megapixels …. there is a limit to how many pixels you can squash into a tiny P & S sensor before you actually lose than the quality to win it. Do not worry about digital zoom, in fact, do not ever use it. He just pixels away from crops, or destroy information. The only real is the zoom optical. Decide what features are important to you, and look for cameras that have this feature. Then go compare a few models in www.dpreview.com. The very best you can do for your success is to borrow some books and learn about basic photography. A little knowledge will make a far greater difference to your photos on your choice of P & S camera can.
