Canon Digital Cameras Sd1200
Canon Powershot or Sony Cybershot digital camera?
I'm trying to decide between two cameras: the Canon Powershot SD1200 IS (about U.S. $ 230) and the Sony Cybershot DSC-T90 / P (about U.S. $ 300). Mainly I just want a camera to bring out with friends, taking shots on when I travel, etc. but I also need a great macro setting to photograph jewelry I sell online. Is it worth the extra $ 70 for the touch screen and fabulous extra megapixels, or Canon is more than enough? Thank you!
Hi there, first I'll just let you know I'm a big fan of both brands. Canon are market leaders and the PowerShot SD1200IS is one of my favorite cameras. They come in a wide variety of fashion colors, so if you are going use it when out with friends you can be sure to impress with it. The picture quality is very good too, and to photograph the items that would be more likely get the job done for you consider that you had the correct lighting etc. Sony cameras also does very well, but between the two marks is not much difference, I would say. If anything with the Sony is only paying a premium for the brand name, however, some people who have confidence in a brand like Sony, may be willing to pay that bit extra. Also not sure where you saw these prices? I have seen these models cheaper elsewhere online. I that has helped all the best with his new camera.
