Canon Digital Cameras Hd Video

I'm deciding between digital cameras to buy, what would be best for my needs?
I'm going on a trip a few weeks and want to be able to take good pictures and do some HD video too. I'm between Canon SX200 IS and Canon SD970 IS. Can anyone recommend one (or even another camera you had a good experience with)? Thanks
