Canon Camera Lenses Usa

Need advice from a good photographer?
I am now moving from amateur photography in the professional world of photography .. To help my transition I'm upgrading my camera and equipment. I'll be buying the Canon EOS 50D, I need 1 or 2 lenses to get me started. Any good suggestions lens? What would the most important to have? Here is my lens line up (go in the middle of the page): http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=111 Thank you!
All depends on what you like to shoot. A good kit would all wide angle to telephoto. I probably start with a EF-S 17-85 or EF-S 17-50 2.8 IS (best) 50 1.8 or 1.4 (best) 70-200 4L IS or IS 2.8L (better) If you can not afford the IS lenses immediately start no-70-200 4L IS and monopod. You can sell the lens on E-bay about 80% of initial value and then put it to an IS lens. Quick to retort Vicseo. Most professionals do not use film anymore (only types of art gallery still do). You will not find a photojournalist, wedding photographer, or even a shooter of fashion, working primarily with the film. 48MP The comparison does not hold, as assume you're shooting black and white graphics MTF. If you have gradations (like most pictures of it), then the film loses out now. The 21MP sensor in the 1Ds III and 5D II are comparable (some say surpass) the average quality of the film format. The film still has an advantage over dynamic range, especially in black and white film. As zooms vs primes. If you're just shooting in controlled environments like a studio or have much time to each shot – by all means just get cousins. But if you need to get the job done with a time constraint, then a pair of zoom lenses (level PRO) can really help. But the prime I recommend is the 50 1.8 or 1.4. Great portrait lens on the 50D.
