Canon 5D MKII questions …. battery and focusing …?

Can anyone explain how to focus properly with this …. camera body:) I had some great shots, but I seem to be lack of clarity and should not be like I have nice lens .. ie. 17-40mm f4.0L and 70-200mm IS F2.8L …… I use a tripod more often …. not so sure I am mucking up. Just upgraded from a ……. 30D so still learning! HELP:) DUH … I forgot to mention that the battery .. How long should it last? Mine died me after 100 photos … and that, from what I hear, is not good!

You must first load the battery. Then see if you manually can focus on a vertical object and have the same sharp object in the picture. You must turn it to OFF, AutoFocus OFF for this test manual focus. 1. You can configure two brooms vertical (one is a foot closer) (and as 5-7 meters away from the camera) and focus on one (Split prism focusing). [camera__stick1_stick2_stick3] Take a photo (light = 1 / 500 sec., openness = less depth of field closer = more significant visible difference in this test) on a tripod, timer. Examine the image to see if the stick is in correct focus. You can do this with three broomsticks and focus on a way to see if the current focus is in front or behind of the screen was created to focus. If everything is correct, then the distances to the lens on-a-vs-sensor lens focusing screen is very close to what they should be. (I did this in a second-hand Minolta XG-7 Film SLR and found the screen had sunk a bit because he was on the board of foam, so I tried to push it up to 0.1 mm, but the object in focus was different from that shown on the screen, and in a different direction from the Nikon FE (only one camera to another anomaly / quirk / feature right). —————— – Seal of sticks or photos (paper label or photo editor) with IS = OFF, AF = OFF. Because you can also try the test with IS = alone after with AF = alone, then with both is = AF = ON and ON. ——————- I think if you still have trouble, then it can be a problem of resolution of the lens, mirror or vibration, or lens mount / sensor is moving?
