Camera Lenses Terminology

I have a Canon Powershot S1 IS and would like a telephoto lens. What is the best?

Unfortunately, I am quite an amateur in photographs, but I love the versatility of the camera and can take great pictures. I would like to be able to take more pictures of wildlife for my own personal enjoyment, but not sure what is available for the S1 IS. I looked on Canon's site, but the language is very Greek to me. I admit I'm more a point and shoot "type of person, and would have a better understanding of the terminology so that I can choose better lenses as well. So what, in your opinion, is the best telephoto lens for the S1 IS and where can I find a site that explains the terminology? For this special camera, I used to own, it is very difficult to find any attachment that would do better than what the camera lens can already do. The thing about the Annexes to S1IS is that they are not lenses, but only tubes that magnify the image. As well, you also need to buy an adapter kit lens. In point, you'd be spending $ 100 or more. If you were to invest nothing more than that, I would recommend selling your camera online or locally and buying a camera SLR, as an Olympus or Canon (which you can pay), which has many options for lenses.
