I get my digital camera repaired or buy a new one?

I have a Samsung Digital Camera – Price around $ 300. I dropped it in the sand the beach. Now the lens will not extract (open) as it should when we turn on the camera. Can be cleaned so that it works? What is the cost of having a digital camera cleaned / repaired? Thanks

I have a camera store to look at it. Sounds like you can only have sand in it, which is to keep it working. But you should really look at some new cameras! Prices are cheap and they are the smallest forms daily .. good luck.
