Now is a good time to buy a Nikon D80?

I'm wondering if I should get a D80 now or if I should expect that Nikon will next release. I could easily expect, but does anyone know when will that be? Also what is wrong (if anything) with the purchase of a site online discount (http://www.stop4camera.com/shop/Product.asp?sku=nkd80) as long as they offer a guarantee? I read about some problems with hot pixels, but beyond these defects, you need a guarantee for U.S. (gray market vs)? The last time I bought a digital camera, I tested and competition in the store, but found the line bargin. I would do it again. Also any suggestions on what the Nikkor lenses should be avoided and Why (some people complained about the kit)? I'm shooting for a total maximum of $ 1200 so I think that the 18-200mm VR is out.
