What kind of camera should I get for the photography class?

I'm taking Photography I in high school. The course requires a 35 mm lens single reflex camera. What brands do you recommend? Keep it under $ 200, please!

you can go to school very early and get a Minolta X-370. I have one, is great. But I have to say, I mainly use my Nikon D90. You could get the Minolta veryyyyy cheap, it's almost 21 years … Then, yes. Or you can try a Nikon FM10. It's a little more than $ 200, but it's really good. Also you can try a Nikon F100 that can be used to get around $ 200. Both are very good Nikon film SLRs. You can also get almost any Minolta film SLR for less than $ 100. They are good for beginners, because they are very cheap and durable. Film overall is excellent for practice, because you have to be careful with each shot and you should learn the basics of aperture and shutter and ISO and the like to be able to get a great picture. Practicing with film for a while will help you learn, probably even faster than with a digital camera, Although DSLRs are much more convenient. If you have further questions, feel free to ask. Good luck.
