You can use a third-Info lithium battery to replace a Sony digital camera?
Hi! Please … I have a SONY DSC-S50 Cyber-shot digital camera, and I believe it is time for a replacement battery. The model number is on my battery NP-FM50. This battery is the battery original and it came with the camera. It is labeled as an "InfoLITHIUM" battery. Please, it is mandatory that I order a replacement battery SONY, in particular, or am I safe in asking for a line of lithium-ion battery compatible or elsewhere? If so, what is the online site is recommended? One site suggested the batteries sometimes third parties do not always work in Sony digital cameras. Sony, of course, suggests that I use their brand of accessories. I'm still a complete novice and any / all advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated! Thank you! 
I was lucky with batteries compatible with my old Digicam Sony. But I heard that the latest Sonys have a way to check if the battery is a rechargeable battery original Sony. Best work with a local vendor that has a good return policy – such as Best Buy or Circuit City.
