Good Pro HD Camcorder?
I am looking for a camcorder HD Pro good for snowboarding. I want one with a hard drive, but DV work. Less than $ 1500 please. Please provide links. It need not be new. On Amazon there are many around $ 1500.
There is no new, pro, high definition camcorder for under $ 2000. The only pro Camcorders hard drive are some Panasonic and any tape-based miniDV camcorder that uses an external drive FireStore Focus Enhancements … and scarlet. Because of known problems ALL hard drive Consumer camcorders have with high vibration and high altitude (about 9800 feet), I no longer recommend them. The closest you can get (budget wise) are consumer camcorder: MiniDV tape: Canon HV30, HV40, Sony HDR-HC9: all recording DV or HDV Flash memory (anemic AVCHD) Canon HF series, Sony HDR-CX Series A potentially greater problem for you is that electronics have ALL environmental operating. You will need to understand what are the problems of condensation will be when you move from a warm indoor environment to an environment outside cold – and you need to understand that the holding in the cold will affect the ability to operate the camcorder itself (unless you keep warm) and the battery life will be seriously affected unless you are able to hold the camera and battery warm (in the range of operating temperatures. the pros use additional devices such as Portabrace Polar Mitten (for cold environments).
