Camcorders See Through Clothes

issue of lighting shot horror movie night?

What are the best techniques for lighting at night? I use a regular camcorder to a horror movie with me, I do not like to show a night scene of a man walking through the woods. I want to see only sillouette of the figure in a moonlit sky with a little fog. Everytime I try this I find it hard to get good light, some my images you can not see the same thing, how do you get a good night lighting and still look like the night we saw just silloutte and no details of clothing color, etc.?

Still need a rear light.
