Camcorders John Lewis

CCD camcorders? What are they?
I want to buy a new camcorder and buyers guide John Lewis said that if you want a picture of quality you need to have three CCD. 1. What is CCD? 2. What is the best camcorder to get, with three CCD under £ 1000?
Firstly not many CCD cameras in them, nor do they now use CMOS sensors because they are less expensive to make and produce better image quality. 1. Essentially, a CCD or CMOS sensor camera that records the image that comes through lens. They say 3 CCDs are better because the red light, green and blue is used to connect each sensor to sense theoretically more color in the image. But as consumer camcorders are so small fitting three CCDs means that the sensors are smaller to feel less light than the image worse in the darkness of a camcorder with a single CCD. 2. The best camcorder depends on the format you want. If you want HDV on mini DV tapes, as they are easy to edit and then keep going for the Canon HV30. If you want a Harddrive camcorder then go for the Sony SR11. Both devices are very well and are in the price range £ 600. If you are going to get the SR11 Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 because this software can edit video files soon. I own the Sony SR11 and like it a lot. For the hard drive I can record for 600 minutes. Also the picture quality is very good and colorful, and works well in the dark. It also has a microphone and a camera things that you often see on most consumer cameras. The HV30 has these features as well and there are many people who like these cameras a lot. It depends if you want a hard drive or tape incorporating camera.
