U.S. electronic equipment in India, need extra adapter to charge the battery?

I get a camcorder from the United States. Will I need an extra adapter to charge the battery (because there may be differences in the frequency, etc. voltage power they use in U.S. and what we use in India)? Or normal that comes with it will be fine? Any idea?

I bought my cam from U.S. handy. I just need a converter, which costs between Rs 10 to 20. Like all major brands give you a voltage range between 110 – 240. You can read in textbooks. If you're not sure you can buy a step down transformer, which will cost between Rs 250 – 300. that's all you need to worry, nothing more.
