External microphone for camcorder?

No, your best bet would be to record the audio separately using something like a recorder zoom, or even a personal recorder (those in the solid state that Olympus do Pearlcorder I think) with an external mic into that, then the synchronization audio modify. The camera is not really designed for more advanced use as holiday etc. So the bells and whistles like extra entries mic would be wasted on the majority of target users.
