We marched to the mall armed with our life savings and pride lotsa in ourselves, when we passed a new display – an eight mega pixel, up to 1G expandable memory, with built mic and stereo surround, video playback able, with 22 scenic modes kind-of-camera. And we sigh because the producer of this amazing gadget claims that this is the best digital camera yet out of the market. So as we always want the best, armed with our life savings and some credit cards, we can buy the "best digital camera." But again that does not last long, after two months or more, there is a better "digital camera."

And so it confuses us. What makes a digital camera, the best digital camera?

Well, there are factors to consider when looking for some of the best "digital camera" for us.

MEGAPIXELS. One of the most important features of digital camera to do it in the category of best digital camera is its mega pixel property. You would not want to buy a DSLR and use it with the activities of your home or family outing and have to crawl there?! Or you do not want to buy the latest point and shoot when you're serious about being a professional photographer. (Of course, you can use this to start, but if you're not a novice photographer anymore, you would not want to get this type of camera).

In fact, the best camera digital is that you will like and use. Not the kind you will leave rotting in its box or after a few weeks old or so, up there in attic.
